Aeterna Noctis is like, one of those super hardcore 2D action platformers that’s gonna mess with your head, in the best way. It’s got that Metroidvania vibe where you’re constantly unlocking new abilities and exploring this huge world. And trust me, the combat? Insane. Like, you are gonna be on the edge of your seat trying to survive every fight. But don’t get too cocky—those platforming sections? They’ll straight-up give you a heart attack.
You play as the King of Darkness, trying to get your powers back by exploring 16 massive areas. Sounds cool right? But here’s the kicker: the world of Aeterna was created by this insane god, Chaos, who made all these creatures and races. But, of course, they decided to rebel and go all power-hungry on him. So, Chaos got super mad and cursed the leaders—turning them into the King of Darkness and the Queen of Light—and now they’re stuck in this never-ending fight, battling each other forever. It’s like, a never-ending grind with no escape. Talk about forever trapped in a loop.
This game is intense like you feel the weight of it especially when you are fighting for your life in some of the trickiest spots.
