Bastide is like this city-building strategy game set in the 13th century, and it's all about surviving with your village of peasants. You gotta help these guys stay alive through bandits, hunger, disease, and the brutal cold while trying to grow your tiny village into a big, fortified town. Everything’s a struggle, and one bad decision could send everything spiraling. You’ve got to manage your peasants super carefully, or they’ll just mess everything up. There are different seasons and a day-and-night cycle, so stuff changes constantly and can catch you off guard.
In the game, there are tons of jobs you can assign to your peasants to gather resources and help the town grow. You start with nothing, and it’s on you to build up from the ground, using whatever resources you can find nearby. You have gotta make smart moves, though, or your town won’t survive. You’ll need to get the food production rolling to keep everyone fed and keep expanding. If you don’t, you might end up watching your whole village crumble, and that hits hard.
