Herb Tea King drops you into 1990s Guangdong, where you step into the shoes of Sung, a young guy from Northern China trying to make it in the south. He ends up working in a traditional herbal tea shop, and every day, you’re juggling everything from brewing up herbal drinks and sorting out medicinal herbs to serving locals and tackling their oddball problems—all steeped in traditional Chinese medicine.
The game leans heavily into its story, but you’ll still find light puzzles and some simple shop management tossed into the mix. As you run the shop, you’ll meet four quirky little spirits—Dampness, Heat, Cold, and Toxin—each with their own personality. Spending time with these spirits and learning from your master, you start to peel back the layers of the master’s mysterious past. You may also be interested in the game Qianli: The Vastscape Scroll.
