Game Overview

Wayward is the focus is on exploring discovering and simulating a living world. There are no classes or levels. Instead your character improves through skills and stats based on how you interact's with the world around you. You can play and explore's however you like.

Wayward is a traditional roguelike game with randomly generated environments optional permadeath turn based gameplay grid based movement and detailed resource and inventory management. It’s similar to games like UnReal World, Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead, or Dwarf Fortress. You may also be interested in the game Nevergrind Online.

Installation

  3. Once the download is complete, right-click the .zip file and choose "Extract to"Wayward" (You'll need 7-Zip, available here).
  4. Open the game, and run the exe application.
  5. Enjoy playing! Remember to run the game as an administrator. If you encounter any missing DLL errors, check for a Redist or _CommonRedist folder and install all the programs it contains.
